Miami City Ballet’s 35th Anniversary Season kicks off with a love letter to our community…

A magic city. A sizzling line-up of extraordinary Miami-raised and influenced artists. Over 50 incredible dancers. Mix these creative collaborations with Florida-flavored inspiration and you get three unmissable, unforgettable world premieres.

Durante Verzola fuses his sensual choreographic style with the lush designs of Miami-raised international fashion designer Esteban Cortázar (Ungaro, Net-a-Porter, Paris Fashion Week) to bring out the romance of ballet and rich color of Mikhail Glinka’s music.

Claudia Schreier’s sophisticated, sexy-cool contemporary moves in collaboration with dynamic visual artistry create the perfect catapult for Miami City Ballet dancers to soar.

The powerful choreography of Miami-born Alvin Ailey star Jamar Roberts and genre-defying music of composer Sam Hyken, the creative force behind Nu Deco Ensemble, will ignite to blow the roof off the theater.

Your artists. Your dancers. Miami’s signature creativity, boldness, heat, daring and fun. This is the magic of Miami and the beauty of South Florida on stage. This is a celebration.
