New to MCB School’s Open Division – Toddler & Me!
When Arantxa Ochoa took over as MCB School’s director of faculty and curriculum two years ago, she decided to add a second part to the summer intensive: five weeks focused on technique would be followed by a new two-week choreography session. The technique intensive is not a requirement, but students audition for both at the same time and many attend the two back-to-back.
Miami City Ballet will hold auditions in Naples and West Palm Beach for kids ages 8 and up with previous ballet training to perform in its annual production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® at Artis-Naples and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
The Spring Break Workshop gives exceptional dancers the opportunity to advance their training, while experiencing the daily life of a Miami City Ballet School Student.
Experience our 2017 Summer Intensive through the thoughts, experiences and perspectives of our student’s in our all new video series En Face!
Miami City Ballet School welcomes Durante Verzola as this year’s choreographer for our new choreographic intensive! Verzola is a young, talented, MCB School alumni and we are excited about him joining us.
Each year, thousands of students receive high-quality dance instruction at Miami City Ballet School – from children and adult beginners to our elite Pre-Professional training program. Your support is critical to ensuring that dance education is available to all!
MCB School is pleased to welcome Arantxa Ochoa as our new Director of Faculty and Curriculum. Her appointment comes after three years of steady growth under the leadership of MCB Artistic Director and School Chairman Lourdes Lopez, and Director of School Administration Darleen Callaghan.
“Ballet is so hard. It’s hard on your body, and it’s hard on your mind… we’re constantly pushing ourselves.”
For its 30th Anniversary, MCB asked members from every rank of the company to tell their stories; what inspired them to devote their lives to dance.
Have you been wanting to learn ballet but have little or no previous training?
